While talking about the film, Deepika at the trailer launch had stated, “It’s not often when you come across a story where you know instantly in the first few minutes of the meeting with the director that this is what you want to commit your life to and Chhapaak is that for me. It’s been an incredible journey emotionally putting it together and I feel like irrespective of how it’s received and how it does, it will be the most special film of my career. I truly hope you see the impact that the film is supposed to have on all of us and the reason why we did this movie; I hope you see in it what we saw in it. We have made it with a lot of love, a lot of passion, a lot of enthusiasm, and with a lot of responsibility.”
