Fan Club Of The Week - Gurmeet Choudhary and Debina Bonnerjee

By Asjad Nazir.

MARRIED couple Gurmeet Choudhary and Debina Bonnerjee are great actors in their own right, who have impressed people with wonderful performances. They have individual

admirers, but also ones who like them both as a star couple.

These include Almina Shaikh (@alminas49) from Mumbai and Pooja Rajput (@pooja_rajput) from Jammu, who run an Instagram fan club dedicated to them.

Eastern Eye caught up with them to find out more.

What made you set up the fan club?

We made this fan club to devote our time, support and unconditional love to our all-time favourite couple Gurmeet Choudhary and Debina Bonnerjee. We made the fan club Gurbina’s World for those who truly love them both.

Tell us about your fan club?

Our fan club was started on February 5, 2017. We started it by posting the newest photos, articles, videos and edits on our lovebirds. And since then, we keep on posting every

single thing related to them. This fan club has made us more focused and patient.

Tell us your memorable moment?

Well, we have many. One of the best moments happened about a month ago when our diva Debii posted our story on her profile. It was indeed a sweet surprise for us.

And as far as about Gurru, we are patiently waiting for this sweet moment to happen.

What is your favourite work they have done?

It’s really tough to choose as all their works are our favourites, because every role played by Gurru and Debii are completely different from the previous ones.

What is the best thing you like about Gurmeet and Debina?

The best thing about them is that their love is pure and not materialistic. They are a great example of a perfect couple.

Tell us an interesting fact about your idols?

The most interesting fact that we admire about them is that they both are just like Tom and Jerry.

They mess around with each other, yet they manage to be the perfect couple in their own sweet way.

What is your definition of a true fan?

A true fan should be the one who immensely supports their star on what they are. It should not be based on the kind of work they have done. It should be purely a dil ka connection.

Rahul Bhatt sparks controversy over remarks about sisters Alia and Pooja Bhatt

Rahul Bhatt, fitness trainer and son of veteran filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt, has found himself at the centre of a social media storm following controversial remarks about his half-sister, Alia Bhatt. In a recent interview, Rahul drew comparisons between Alia and their older sister Pooja Bhatt, calling the latter more talented, attractive, and principled.

The comments, which many have labelled inappropriate and insensitive, have sparked widespread criticism online. During the interview, Rahul stated, “In my opinion, she (Alia) is not even half of what my real sister Pooja is. Not in talent, not in looks, not in terms of being sexy. In front of my sister, she is ‘paani kam chai’ (watery tea). Amongst the siblings, the most talented and the most moralistic is Pooja.”

Harvey Weinstein's retrial begins with accusations of 'psychological hold' on victims

The retrial of former Hollywood producer Harvey Weinstein began in New York on Tuesday, after his 2020 rape conviction was overturned by the state’s Court of Appeals. Weinstein, 72, is being re-tried on charges of rape and sexual assault, which originally led to a 23-year prison sentence. He has pleaded not guilty.

The original conviction was quashed on grounds that the trial court allowed testimony from women whose allegations were not directly tied to the charges, which the appeals court ruled deprived Weinstein of a fair trial.

Quentin Tarantino's 'Once Upon a Time in Hollywood' sequel title revealed

Fans of Quentin Tarantino’s Once Upon a Time in Hollywood are in for a surprise as the title for its highly anticipated sequel has reportedly been revealed. According to a recent interview with Michael B. Jordan, the sequel is set to be called The Continuing Adventures of Cliff Booth. The news has sparked excitement, and it's clear that Tarantino’s iconic character, played by Brad Pitt, will be at the centre of this follow-up film.

The sequel, which will be directed by David Fincher and based on a script by Tarantino, will see Pitt reprise his role as the rugged and enigmatic Cliff Booth. The storyline will reportedly take place around eight years after the events of the original film. This time, Booth is expected to transition into a new career as a Hollywood studio fixer, a role that aligns well with the character’s no-nonsense, tough-guy persona, which was showcased in the first film.
