What specifically inspired you to create career-related content?

This stems from my passion for teaching, witnessing the success of my students and the desire to support a larger audience. I’m grateful for the opportunity to make a positive impact on people’s lives.

You have gained over two million followers across online platforms since starting in May 2021. Did you expect to become so popular?

Honestly, I didn’t have high expectations. My main goal was to provide useful information and support candidates. However, the success has surpassed my expectations. It’s incredibly rewarding to know that my content is making a significant difference. I’m grateful for the support and excited to continue providing valuable content to help candidates with their career journeys.

What has been your most memorable moment so far?

There have been many remarkable moments, but one that truly touched my heart was a heartfelt message from a young girl expressing profound gratitude for my assistance in securing a job. This job made her the sole earner in her family, bringing financial stability and a sense of pride. Such personal connections and impactful experiences inspire me to continue creating valuable content, empowering others to achieve their career goals. They fuel my passion for teaching, coaching and making a meaningful difference.

What are the most common questions from people looking for a job?

I receive a wide range of questions. The common ones include help in creating an effective resume, best ways to prepare for a job interview and make a good impression, improving networking skills and advice on qualities employers look for in candidates. I try to answer the many questions and give clear guidance with my content.

What top tips would you give those looking for employment?

An important job search step is building a robust professional network. Networking is key to finding hidden job opportunities and making valuable connections in your desired industry. Active networking will expand your pool of professional contacts, gain valuable industry insights and establish your personal brand. Also, focusing on building a strong online presence, while learning new skills in your niche, will help you gain confidence and an edge over other candidates.

What top job application tips would you give?

When it comes to job applications, personalization is key. Customizing your resume and cover letter for each position you apply to, is crucial. Highlighting skills and experiences that directly align with job requirements will demonstrate to employers that you’ve taken the time to understand their needs and increase your chances of securing the position. Additionally, thoroughly researching the company and role you’re applying for is essential. It will help you prepare and better understand what a prospective employer is looking for.

What is the secret to delivering a great job interview?

The secret to a standout job interview is the perfect combination of comprehensive preparation and confidence. It’s essential to put the time and effort into research. Familiarize yourself with the company and specific role you’re applying for and the industry as a whole. This knowledge will enable you to align your skills and experiences with the job requirements, showcasing your suitability for the position. Additionally, display enthusiasm, ask thoughtful questions and maintain a positive attitude throughout the interview.

What are the common mistakes candidates make when looking for a job?

One common mistake that many candidates make during interviews is not having an appropriate level of preparation, whether that is not researching the company beforehand or having a good understanding of the position they are interviewing for. Another mistake is candidates submitting generic applications that are not tailored to the specific functionand company. Each job opportunity is unique and employers appreciate candidates who take the time to ccustomizetheir applications accordingly.

How important is it for people to know about their employment rights?

Understanding one’s employment rights is crucial for individuals to protect themselves from unfair treatment in the workplace. It encompasses various aspects, including knowing your salary entitlements, work hours, leave provisions, antidiscrimination laws and other employment related issues. This enables employees to take appropriate steps to ensure fair treatment. Knowing the legal framework and protections in place empowers individuals and helps maintain a healthy work environment.

Millions learn from you, but what are the things you have learned while creating content?

I have learned that everyone’s career journey is unique. There is no one-sizefits-all approach to achieving career success. It is crucial to listen to the experiences and challenges of others and continuously stay updated on industry trends to provide the most relevant guidance and support. I have also learned the importance of empathy and being responsive to the needs of my audience. Continuous learning and adaptation are key to delivering valuable content that resonates and helps people succeed.

What tips would you give those who have been unsuccessful in finding the right job?

To those who have faced challenges and rejections in their job search, I would encourage them to maintain a positive mindset and stay resilient. Treat each setback as a learning opportunity and a stepping stone towards success. Reflect on your experiences, refine your skills and keep persevering. Seek support from your network, whether it’s through mentors, career coaches, or supportive friends and family. Remember, the right job is out there and with dedication, continuous learning and a positive attitude, you will find it.

What is more beneficial these days: experience or qualifications?

Both hold significance, but their importance can vary depending on the industry and specific role. In general, a combination of both is preferable. Experience demonstrates the practical application of skills and knowledge in real-world situations, which employers value. Qualifications can provide a foundation of knowledge and theoretical understanding, which can be advantageous, especially in certain fields. Ultimately, the ideal balance between experience and qualifications may differ from one job to another. It is essential to assess the requirements of the specific role and highlight aspects that align best with the position you’re pursuing.

What is the secret to standing out from the crowd?

It’s crucial to focus on showcasing your unique value proposition. Identify your strengths, skills and achievements that make you different and valuable to potential employers. Craft a compelling personal brand that highlights these aspects effectively. Networking is also a powerful tool for identifying yourself. Moreover, actively seek out opportunities for professional growth and continuous learning. Acquire new skills and demonstrate your dedication to self-improvement. Being proactive and displayinga genuine passion for your field will help you make a strong impression and stand out in a competitive job market.

What are your future plans?

I’m excited about making an even bigger impact by creating more valuable content. My goal is to empower candidates globally by helping them ace their interviews with ease, gain confidence and land their dream jobs. I plan to explore additional avenues to provide career guidance and support, including comprehensive online courses, webinars and collaborating with other experts. I want to continue evolving and adapting to the changing needs of job seekers, ensuring that I deliver the most relevant and impactful content to my audience.

Instagram blocks profiles of Fawad Khan, Atif Aslam and Rahat Fateh Ali Khan in India amid rising tensions

The Instagram profiles of Pakistani celebrities like Fawad Khan, Atif Aslam, and Rahat Fateh Ali Khan are no longer accessible in India. This development comes just weeks before Fawad’s planned Bollywood return with Abir Gulaal and follows a series of social media restrictions tied to the worsening India–Pakistan relationship.

When Indian fans try to view the artists' Instagram pages, they’re met with a message: "Account not available in India. This is because we complied with a legal request to restrict this content." No official clarification has come from either the Indian government or Meta, but the timing is significant. The move comes days after a terror attack in Jammu and Kashmir’s Pahalgam region killed 26 people, most of them tourists. It was one of the deadliest attacks since the 2008 Mumbai carnage.

Lancashire bats for Indian board to join The Hundred

THE England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) should offer the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) a minority ownership stake in The Hundred to attract Indian players to the competition, Lancashire CEO Daniel Gidney has suggested.

“I think it’s possible. If I was the ECB, I’d be talking about perhaps bringing the BCCI in as a minority ownership partner in the tournament as a whole. If you do that, then you are aligning interests,” Gidney told the ESPNCricinfo website.
