Bollywood actors we missed on the big screen this year

Every year many films release on the big screen. As moviegoers, we wish that at least one film of our favourite star releases in a year. But sometimes that doesn’t happen and we are left disappointed. This year, we saw many films that impressed us a lot. But well, we missed a lot of actors on the big screen.

So, let’s look at the list of actors we didn’t get to see on the silver screen in 2019…

Shah Rukh Khan

The first one on the list has to be Shah Rukh Khan. The actor’s last film was 2018 release Zero. The film failed to make a mark at the box office and SRK decided to take a break. Till now, the actor has not yet officially announced his next film. However, he has promised his fans that he will have a release in 2020.

Anushka Sharma

In 2018, Anushka Sharma had four releases, Pari, Sanju, Sui-Dhaaga and Zero. But this year, she opted to relax and didn’t star in any film. Well, there were reports that the actress has taken a break to embrace motherhood, but we haven’t heard any good news yet. We hope that Anushka announces her next film soon and we get to see her on the big screen next year.

Ranbir Kapoor

Ranbir Kapoor starred in one of the biggest hits of 2018, Sanju. The movie surely gave the actor’s career a boost. But unfortunately, in 2019, he didn’t have any releases. Brahmastra was slated to release this year, but it has been postponed 2020. But fans of Ranbir will have a double treat next year as there will be Brahmastra and Shamshera.

Deepika Padukone

Deepika Padukone was simply excellent in 2018 release Padmaavat. But it’s been more than a year we have seen her on the big screen. Her next release is Chhapaak which is slated to release in January 2020. This means that fans of Deepika will get to see her on the big screen after a gap of two years.

Aamir Khan

Having Aamir Khan on our list is not a big surprise. There was a time when he used to do one film a year. But now, from the past few years, Aamir is following a trend of one film in two years. He was last seen on the big screen in Thugs Of Hindostan (2018) and his next release is Laal Singh Chaddha which will hit the screens on Christmas 2020.

Irrfan Khan

It was last year when we got the sad news that Irrfan Khan has been diagnosed with neuroendocrine tumour. While in 2018 he had two releases like Blackmail and Karwaan, we didn’t get to see him on the big screen this year as he was getting treated. But not to worry as Irrfan will have a release in 2020 and it will be the much-awaited sequel to Hindi Medium titled Angrezi Medium.

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan

In 2018, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan starred in Fanney Khan alongside Anil Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao. Though the film failed to make a mark at the box office, the actress’ performance as the singing sensation was appreciated. Her next is a multi-lingual film with Mani Ratnam and we hope she signs more movies.

Abhishek Bachchan

While Aishwarya Rai Bachchan had no releases this year, her hubby, Abhishek Bachchan also followed the same trend. Junior Bachchan was last seen on the big screen in 2018 release Manmarziyaan, but this year he had no releases. In 2020, we will get to see Abhishek in two films, Anurag Basu’s next and The Big Bull.
