Birthday Special: Akshay Kumar is the busiest actor, not 2 or 3, he has 7 films!

Akshay Kumar is the only superstar of Bollywood who has multiple releases every year. In 2019, he had four releases Kesari, Mission Mangal, Housefull 4, and Good Newwz. All four films were blockbusters at the box office.

This year too he was supposed to have three releases but pandemic played the spoilsport. However, currently, Akshay is the busiest actor and has as many as seven films in his kitty right now. So, today on his 53rd birthday, let’s look at the list of those seven movies here…

Sooryavanshi

Sooryvanashi was slated to release in March this year, but due to the pandemic, the release date has been pushed. The makers are eyeing on releasing the film on Diwali this year if the theatres reopen in India.

Laxmmi Bomb

Laxmmi Bomb was scheduled to release on Eid this year and it was supposed to clash with Salman Khan starrer Radhe: Your Most Wanted Bhai. However, both the films couldn’t make it to the theatres because of the pandemic and now, Laxmmi Bomb will reportedly release on Diwali on the OTT platform, Disney+ Hotstar.

Prithviraj

Akshay Kumar will be seen playing the role of King Prithviraj in YRF’s Prithviraj. The shooting of the film was going on before the lockdown was announced and the movie was slated to release on Diwali this year. But well, the shooting is still left, and looks like it will now release in 2021.

Bell Bottom

Akshay Kumar is the first superstar who has started shooting for a film amid this pandemic. The actor is currently in Scotland shooting for Bell Bottom along with Vaani Kapoor, Huma Qureshi, and Lara Dutta. The movie is slated to hit the screens in April next year.

Atrangi Re

It is said that after wrapping up Bell Bottom, Akshay will start shooting for Aanand L Rai’s Atrangi Re which also stars Sara Ali Khan and Dhanush. The movie is slated to release on Valentine’s Day next year. Let’s wait and watch whether it will hit the big screens as per the schedule.

Bachchan Pandey

Akshay Kumar and Kriti Sanon are all set to team up for Farhad Samji’s next titled Bachchan Pandey. The movie was slated to start rolling in April this year and was scheduled to release in January next year. However, the film is yet to go on the floors and looks like it will surely be postponed.

Raksha Bandhan

Lastly, we have Raksha Bandhan on the list. While mostly all his previous films were announced before the lockdown, Raksha Bandhan was announced during the lockdown. The movie will be directed by Aanand L Rai, so in 2021, Akshay will have two films releasing which will be directed by Rai, Atrangi Re, and Raksha Bandhan.

Well, these are just officially announced projects, there have been reports of Akshay starring in many other films, and of course, he will be making his digital debut also with Amazon Prime’s The End.
