Ayushmann Khurrana on Andhadhun clocking 1 year

Starring Ayushmann Khurrana, Tabu and Radhika Apte in lead roles, filmmaker Sriram Raghavan’s much-loved black comedy crime thriller Andhadhun (2018) has completed 1 year of its theatrical release.

The movie starred Ayushmann Khurrana in the role of a blind pianist who gets embroiled in the murder of a former movie star. Released on 5th October, 2018, Andhadhun opened to great critical response and turned out to be an instant hit at the box-office. The film even won three National Film Awards, including one for Ayushmann Khurrana in the Best Actor category.


As Andhadhun clocked 1 year today, Ayushmann shared how the movie impacted him as an actor. “As an artist, I am a constant learner of the craft of acting. I am always looking out for films that make me better, that challenge my thinking, my beliefs and opens me up to absorb new things. Andhadhun has truly been one such film that has shaped me as an actor today,” said the actor.

He went on to add, “It taught me to challenge my inhibitions and showcase a completely different side to my craft that surprised me and also pleasantly surprised the audiences. I am thankful to my director Sriram Raghavan for trusting me with his vision and thankful to the universe for giving me projects like this which I can be so proud of.”

Meanwhile, Ayushmann Khurrana is awaiting the release of his much-awaited film Bala which features him in the role of a bald man. After Bala, the National Film Award-winning actor will be seen in Shoojit Sircar’s Gulabo Sitabo, co-starring megastar Amitabh Bachchan. Gulabo Sitabo will be followed up by producer Anand L Rai’s much-talked-about film Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan wherein Ayushmann Khurrana plays the character of a homosexual man.

Adele is finally making her move into films. The singer will appear in Cry to Heaven, the third feature from fashion designer and director Tom Ford. The story comes from Anne Rice’s novel set in 18th century Italy and follows two men brought together by music, a Venetian nobleman and a castrato singer from Calabria.
