Arjun Rampal joins the cast of Jacqueline and Pawan Kalyan’s Telugu film?

A couple of days ago, Eastern Eye had reported that popular Bollywood actress Jacqueline Fernandez was gearing up to make her Tollywood debut with an untitled film featuring Telugu superstar Pawan Kalyan in the lead role.

The latest update on the forthcoming project is that Arjun Rampal has also joined Jacqueline Fernandez and Pawan Kalyan on the cast of the Telugu period comedy-drama. However, there has been no official announcement confirming the development.

According to reports, the high-profile film was initially slated to mount the shooting floor this month. However, the makers had to defer the first shooting schedule of the film due to the Coronavirus lockdown across the country.

A source close to the development tells an entertainment portal, “The period action adventure film is also a madcap comedy of sorts. It is a fictional story set in the Mughal era where Jacqueline will be playing Aurangzeb’s sister whereas Arjun Rampal is mostly going to essay the role of Aurangzeb in the film. Pawan will play someone who is assigned the job of stealing the Kohinoor from the Mughals. There will be a romantic track between Pawan and Jacqueline as well.”

The Telugu film will be directed by well-known South Indian filmmaker Krish, and produced by AM Rathnam. It is expected to hit the marquee on Sankranthi next year. Reportedly, the film will have two heroines sharing the screen space with Pawan Kalyan. Buzz has it that National Film Award-winning actress Keerthy Suresh is in talks to play the role and is expected to sign on the dotted lines soon.
