Anurag Kashyap to complete post-production work of Super 30

Filmmaker Anurag Kashyap, who has just started working on his next production venture Saand Ki Aankh with Taapsee Pannu and Bhumi Pednekar, has come onboard to complete the pending post-production work of superstar Hrithik Roshan’s much-awaited film Super 30.

The film has been directed by Queen (2014) fame Vikas Bahl. But the director was forced to leave the project a couple of months ago after an ex-employee accused him of sexually harassing her.

Earlier the movie was scheduled to buzz into theatres on 25th January, but since a lot of post-production work was still pending, the makers had to push it to July, 26. With Kashyap coming onboard, we hope the film will be ready for its theatrical release soon.

Confirming the development, Kashyap said, “At the moment, I am getting Womaniya (renamed as Saand Ki Aankh) started, but yes, I will be overseeing the post-production of Super 30.”

Super 30 is based on the inspirational life of renowned mathematician Anand Kumar. He is best known for his Super 30 programme, which he started in Patna, Bihar in 2002, to offer coaching facility to economically backward students for IIT-JEE.
