Alia Bhatt to pair up opposite Varun Dhawan in Rannbhoomi?

After romancing Varun Dhawan in Student Of The Year (2012), Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania (2014), Badrinath Ki Dulhania (2017) and the upcoming Kalank, Alia Bhatt is rumoured to be pairing with the star once again for their fifth film together.

According to reports, Alia and Varun might star opposite each other in Karan Johar’s next movie Rannbhoomi, which will be helmed by Shashank Khaitan who has directed the duo in successful films such as Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania and, Badrinath Ki Dulhania. While Dhawan’s name was revealed the very day the project was announced by Karan Johar, Alia has been roped in recently, it seems.

Talking about the war-drama movie, director Shashank says, “As a child, while playing with He-man toys, I dreamt of making a warrior epic. I’m still in the research phase but happy that Varun is onboard.”

When asked if Alia is also a part of the movie, he says, “We have not spoken about Rannbhoomi because I’ve been busy with Dhadak. Once we are clearer about the script and sure of the casting ourselves, we will be in a position to reveal more. It’s a film we have dreamt of, so we won’t hide the leading lady.”

Alia and Varun Dhawan’s next Kalank hits screens on 19th April, 2019.
