Aakash Dahiya roped in to play Bhagat Singh in a show!

Television in India is coming up with a lot of historical and mythological shows these days. And adding its name to the list is writer-turned-producer Anirudh Pathak's upcoming show based on the inspirational life of freedom fighter Chandra Shekhar Azad.

Produced under the banner of Writers' Galaxy, the forthcoming historical show will feature Delhi based theatre actor, Karan Sharma in the titular role of Chandra Shekhar Azad. The latest we hear that after Karan Sharma, the makers of the show have now signed film actor Aakash Dahiya for the role of Bhagat Singh.

Aakash Dahiya is known for his work in films like Rockstar, Gangs of Wassepur and Chillar Party. He is also an associate casting director in Mukesh Chabbra’s casting agency. The actor will be making his television debut with the historical show.

Besides Sharma and Dahiya, the makers have also cast actor Akash Sinha to play the important character of Pandit Ram Prasad Bismil in the show.  Sinha is also part of ALT Balaji’s upcoming web-series Bose: Dead/Alive.

With so many talented artists onboard, we are sure that the makers are coming up with an amazing show for the audience. Hope the show turns out to be a success for everyone associated with it.

7 Bruce Willis thrillers ranked by Rotten Tomatoes score that aren’t 'Die Hard'

Highlights

  • Bruce Willis has several critically acclaimed thrillers beyond the Die Hard franchise
  • Looper currently holds the highest Rotten Tomatoes score among these picks at 93%
  • 12 Monkeys and The Sixth Sense also rank among his strongest-reviewed films
  • The list spans sci-fi thrillers, supernatural mysteries, neo-noir and action films

Bruce Willis will always be associated with John McClane, but Die Hard is hardly the only place where the actor made his mark on the thriller genre.

Across the 1990s and 2000s, Willis moved between time-travel mysteries, supernatural dramas, neo-noirs and action thrillers, often using the same understated intensity that made him such a recognisable screen presence. Rotten Tomatoes scores show that some of his most highly regarded work came when he stepped away from the role of the conventional action hero.
