Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge starring Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol is undoubtedly one of the best romantic films made in Bollywood. The love story of Raj and Simran completes 25 years today. The Aditya Chopra’s directorial had released on 20th October 1995 and it was a super hit at the box office.

DDLJ is the longest-running Indian film and it is being showcased at Maratha Mandir theatre in Mumbai (currently shut due to the pandemic). Today, as the film completes 25 years, SRK and Kajol have changed their names on Twitter to Raj and Simran, and have even changed their profile picture to a still from the film.

Both the actors also thanked their fans for the love that they have given them. Shah Rukh Khan tweeted, “25 years!!! Filled with gratitude towards you for loving Raj & Simran, with all your heart. This always feels special. #DDLJ25 @yrf.”

Kajol posted, “Raj & Simran! 2 people, 1 film, 25 years and the love doesn’t stop coming in! I am truly grateful to all the people who made it what it is today.. a phenomenon and a part of their own history. The fans! Big shoutout to all of you #25YearsOfDDLJ @yrf @iamsrk #AdityaChopra.”

Not just Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol, even Parmeet Sethi changed his name to Kuljeet Singh on Twitter and changed his profile picture to a still of the movie. He posted, “25 years wow! Thank you for showering love and support for this amazing film. And thank you Adi Chopra for making me part of history!!! I am truly humbled!! #DDLJ25 @yrf @iamsrk @itsKajolD.”
