1] Border

Border is a 1997 Indian war film based on the Battle of Longewala during the Indo-Pakistani War of 1971. A band of 120 soldiers defend their post all night until they receive assistance from the Indian Air Force the next morning. It won 3 National Awards and four Filmfare Awards with other Starscreen Awards.


2] Rang De Basanti

The story of six young Indians who assist an English Woman to film a documentary on the extremist freedom fighters from their past, and the events that lead them to relive the long forgotten saga of freedom.

It won awards like Filmfare, IIFA Awards, 53rd National Film Awards. Many movies might come and go but it will be always remain a hit. It has a special place in our hearts. It is definitely a must watch for very Indian.

3] Airlift

Airlift is the story of Indians stranded in Kuwait during this traumatic time. The film follows Ranjit Katyal (Akshay Kumar), a Kuwait-based businessman, as he carries out the evacuation of Indians based in Kuwait during the Invasion of Kuwait by Saddam Hussein's Iraq.

4] Holiday: A Soldier Is Never Off Duty

A military officer attempts to hunt down a terrorist, destroy a terrorist gang and deactivate the sleeper cells under its command, proving that a soldier is never on a 'Holiday'.

5] Chak De! India

Kabir Khan is the coach of the Indian Women's National Hockey Team and his dream is to make his all girls team emerge victorious against all odds.

6] Lakshya

Karan, an aimless young man, joins the Indian Army on a whim but backs out when he finds a soldier's life difficult. When this creates conflict with his girlfriend, he rejoins to make her proud but later turns into a mature battlefield hero.

7] Sarfarosh

After his brother is killed and father severely injured by terrorists, a young medical student quits his studies to join the Indian Police Service to wipe out the terrorists. It has one National Award and four Filmfare Awards to its credit.

8] Khakee

The film tells the story of an Indian police team on a mission to escort an accused terrorist from a small town in Maharashtra to Mumbai.

9] LOC Kargil

LOC Kargil is an Indian war film based on the Kargil War fought between India and Pakistan.

10] Phir Bhi Dil Hai Hindustani 

Ajay Bakshi and Ria Banerji are two rival TV reporters and will stop at nothing to outdo each other. Finally, they team up to help a man seek justice for his daughter who was raped by a politician.

Prince Harry’s Trump joke during a surprise Christmas sketch on Stephen Colbert’s Late Show has grabbed attention in the US. The short cameo, shot as a light comedy piece, aired on Wednesday night and showed Prince Harry playing a version of himself searching for a part in a fictional Hallmark-style Christmas film.
