Border is a 1997 Indian war film based on the Battle of Longewala during the Indo-Pakistani War of 1971. A band of 120 soldiers defend their post all night until they receive assistance from the Indian Air Force the next morning. It won 3 National Awards and four Filmfare Awards with other Starscreen Awards.


2] Rang De Basanti

The story of six young Indians who assist an English Woman to film a documentary on the extremist freedom fighters from their past, and the events that lead them to relive the long forgotten saga of freedom.

A military officer attempts to hunt down a terrorist, destroy a terrorist gang and deactivate the sleeper cells under its command, proving that a soldier is never on a 'Holiday'.

5] Chak De! India

Kabir Khan is the coach of the Indian Women's National Hockey Team and his dream is to make his all girls team emerge victorious against all odds.

6] Lakshya

Karan, an aimless young man, joins the Indian Army on a whim but backs out when he finds a soldier's life difficult. When this creates conflict with his girlfriend, he rejoins to make her proud but later turns into a mature battlefield hero.

7] Sarfarosh

After his brother is killed and father severely injured by terrorists, a young medical student quits his studies to join the Indian Police Service to wipe out the terrorists. It has one National Award and four Filmfare Awards to its credit.

The film tells the story of an Indian police team on a mission to escort an accused terrorist from a small town in Maharashtra to Mumbai.

LOC Kargil is an Indian war film based on the Kargil War fought between India and Pakistan.

Actor and television personality Shefali Jariwala, who rose to fame with the early 2000s music video Kaanta Laga, has died following a sudden cardiac arrest. The 42-year-old was declared dead at Bellevue Hospital in Mumbai late on Friday night, 28 June. Her husband, actor Parag Tyagi, reportedly rushed her to the hospital around midnight with the help of close friends.

Despite immediate medical attention, doctors could not revive her. A hospital source confirmed she was “dead on arrival” at 11:27 pm. Her death has left friends, fans, and colleagues in shock, as many described her as healthy, cheerful, and actively working.
