Vicky Kaushal and Taapsee finalized for Manmarziyan

According to latest media reports, Vicky Kaushal and Taapsee Pannu are all set to star in the upcoming film Manmarziyan. To be directed by acclaimed filmmaker Anurag Kashyap, the film is being produced by Aanand L Rai.

Known for making grittily realistic films, it will be the first time when Anurag Kashyap will helm a romantic film. He is about to start shooting for the movie in January.

Manmarziyan was announced in 2015 with Bhumi Pednekar and Ayushmann Khurrana in lead roles. Sameer Sharma was about to helm the film. However, the project could not take off on time due to some creative differences and then it went to Ashwini Iyer Tiwary before eventually landing with Anurag Kashyap.

After signing a new director, the makers decided to replace the original cast with Vicky Kaushal and Taapsee Pannu for lead roles. The team is currently looking for a second actor to complete the love triangle.

"The film requires a winter setting and is most likely to kick off in Himachal Pradesh, but the team is still finalizing locations. It is expected to be shot in a start-to-finish schedule and will be wrapped up by mid-March," reveals a source.
