Varun Dhawan to commence work on Coolie No. 1 remake in June

After Main Tera Hero (2014) and Judwaa 2 (2017), Varun Dhawan is set to join forces with his filmmaker father David Dhawan once again. If reports are to be believed, the father-son duo has picked up the Govinda and Karisma Kapoor starrer Coolie No. 1 (1995) to remake it.

Yes, the duo is planning to contemporise the classic film, which still garners huge viewership on television. The movie will also revive the No. 1 franchise, which was a rage back then in the 1990s. If all goes well, Varun will commence work on the movie in June.

The much-in-demand actor is presently busy with Remo D’souza’s dance film Street Dancer. Before commencing work on Street Dancer with Shraddha Kapoor, the actor had wrapped up Dharma Productions’ multi-starrer Kalank, slated for a theatrical release on 19th April.

Before the year comes to an end, Varun is also expected to collaborate with filmmaker Shashank Khaitan. The two were earlier set to join hands for a war drama called Rannbhoomi, but that project has been put on the backburner.

Shashank is presently scripting a high-octane action thriller for Dhawan. “He is in the process of locking the script and plans to take the film on the floors towards the year-end, perhaps in November,” a source informs.

Looks like Varun is going to have a super busy year!

Brooklyn Beckham told parents to contact him only through lawyers amid family rift

Highlights

  • Brooklyn Beckham requested that David and Victoria Beckham contact him only via lawyers during a period of strained relations
  • Legal letters were exchanged, though no formal action was taken
  • The request followed what Brooklyn viewed as damaging briefings about his wife, Nicola Peltz Beckham
  • Both sides are said to be hoping for reconciliation, despite ongoing hurt

A breakdown that moved beyond private disagreement

Relations within the Beckham family deteriorated sharply last summer, reaching a point where Brooklyn Beckham asked his parents to communicate with him only through legal representatives. The request marked one of the most serious moments in an already strained relationship between the eldest Beckham son and his parents.

Sources say the instruction led to an exchange of letters between legal teams at Schillings, representing Brooklyn, and Harbottle & Lewis, who act for David and Victoria Beckham. While no legal proceedings were initiated, the correspondence made clear that Brooklyn did not want direct contact or public references to him from his parents, including on social media.
