Varun Dhawan rumoured to be in talks with Telugu director Sukumar for a film

Varun Dhawan, who was last seen in filmmaker Shoojit Sircar’s October, has a number of exciting projects in his pocket. The actor is currently shooting for Dharma Productions’ Kalank, which is being helmed by Abhishek Verman. After that, he will reteam with director Shashank Khaitan for a war period film called Rannbhoomi.

Dhawan’s popularity as an actor is not restricted to Hindi cinema only. We hear that many South Indian filmmakers are also impressed with the work he does. And if reports are to be believed, popular Telugu director Sukumar is so impressed with Varun that he has approached him for a Hindi film.

“Sukumar is now completing his crime thriller with Mahesh Babu who is riding high on the success of Bharat Ane Nenu (2018). After that, he wants to start his film with Varun. Sukumar had a very productive meeting with Varun regarding the project and the actor showed a keen interest. Varun can do the project once he wraps up Sui Dhaaga as well as Kalank, depending on how other filmmakers who want to make films with him are ready enough with their pre-production,” a source reveals to an Indian daily.

Apart from aforementioned films, Varun also plays the lead role in Remo D’souza’s next untitled movie.
