Title of Imtiaz Ali’s next to be revealed in two days

There is no denying the fact that releasing a film on a festival or any public holiday always results in increased visibility and great footfalls in theatres. But apart from the aforementioned occasions if there is one date which also guarantees huge opening numbers, it has to be the day of love, Valentine’s Day.

Last year, Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt’s Gully Boy opened in theatres on the same date and went on to do terrific business by raking in Rs. 19.40 crore. This year, Kartik Aaryan and Sara Ali Khan are readying themselves up for the release of their much-awaited film on Valentine’s Day.

Helmed by well-known filmmaker Imtiaz Ali, the untitled movie has been in news even before hitting the shooting floor. Sometimes it made news for a rumoured affair between Kartik Aaryan and Sara Ali Khan. On other occasions, it hit headlines for being speculated as a sequel to the 2008 film Love Aaj Kal.

The release of the film is just round the corner but shockingly, the makers are yet to announce its official title. However, it seems we won’t have to wait any longer as producer Dinesh Vijan has confirmed that the team will be announcing the title of the film in two days. He also added that the theatrical trailer will be out soon too.

“In two days, you will know what the title is and ultimately, what the film is. And this week, you will also have the theatrical trailer out,” said the producer. When asked why the promotional activities have not begun as yet, he added, “The intent nowadays is to do a four-week promotional campaign. And we generally promote films only for a month”.
