Tara Sutaria talks about criticism Student Of The Year 2 received

Student Of The Year 2 released on 10th May 2019. The film received mostly negative reviews, however, it did quite well at the box office. The movie starred Tiger Shroff as the male lead and marked Tara Sutaria and Ananya Panday’s Bollywood debut.

Recently, while talking about the criticism that the movie received, Tara told a tabloid, “It’s so nice that the film has released. All of us had been excited about it. The reactions have been mixed, but I am grateful for all the love we received.”

“I’ve been in this line of work for a long time, so I’m used to criticism. In this case, there was no pressure from the production house, but people had expectations given the film’s franchise status and the first part’s success. Ever since the film was announced, we’d been subjected to trolling and memes, so we were expecting some criticism. But it’s part of the process,” she added.

Though Tara didn’t get much appreciation for her performance in Student Of The Year 2, even before the film released, the actress already had two more films like Marjaavaan and Rx100 remake in her kitty. Talking about the films, she said, “My role in Marjaavaan is something no one else is doing right now. I didn’t expect to do my second and third film in the same year. It’s great to be busy. I finished promoting SOTY 2 and I got into the Rx100 remake. We’ve shot a bit of the promotional material. Now we’re busy with readings and will go on floors in the next month or two.”

Well, more than her films, Tara has been in the news because of her alleged relationship with her Marjaavaan co-star Sidharth Malhotra. During the promotions of SOTY 2, when she was asked about the reports of her dating Sidharth, Tara had said, "I think that is something we were prepared for and we were expecting it, especially when you are in Dharma (Productions), it's fun, it's exciting and it's cute, we are all young. I mean he's just wonderful. We have completed shooting for Marjaavan and he is my neighbour and we have a lot of things to talk about and we have a great conversation."

Before making her Bollywood debut Tara was seen on the small in the serials like The Suite Life of Karan & Kabir and Oye Jassie.
