Sushant Singh Rajput might topline Mahesh Bhatt’s Sadak 2

According to reports, Sushant Singh Rajput might star in Vishesh Films’ next offering Sadak 2, which is a sequel to the Mahesh Bhatt-directed 1991 musical hit Sadak, featuring Pooja Bhatt and Sanjay Dutt in lead roles.

“Sushant has been approached for Sadak sequel. The actor met Mahesh Bhatt recently and they discussed the script. Needless to say, Sushant loved the idea and is game for it. The paperwork is yet to happen. Given that the actor has given a positive revert, an official announcement is expected soon,” a source reveals.

If SSR agrees to play the male lead in the movie, hunt for the female lead will begin. The makers are planning to roll the camera in March 2019 as the film is scheduled to hit the silver screen in November 2019.

Talking about Sushant Singh Rajput’s forthcoming projects, the actor will next be seen in producer Ronnie Screwvala’s Son Chiraiya. Directed by filmmaker Abhishek Chaubey, the movie has Bhumi Pednekar as the female lead.

The actor is currently shooting for casting director turned filmmaker Mukesh Chhabra’s Kizie Aur Manny. The film is an official remake of Hollywood film Fault In Our Stars (2014).
