Sushant Singh Rajput & Kriti Sanon in talks for a dance film

According to reports, Sushant Singh Rajput and Kriti Sanon have been approached to topline the Hindi remake of popular Hollywood romantic dance drama film, Dirty Dancing. Headlined by Patrick Swayze and Jennifer Grey, the original movie hit screens in 1987 and gained cult status within no time. The remake will be produced by Lionsgate Entertainment Corporation.

A source close to the development says, “The script is currently being reworked to suit Bollywood audiences. The premise of how a girl develops a crush on her father’s resort dance instructor will remain the same. Considering Sushant and Kriti are skilled dancers, they are currently the top contenders for the lead roles.”

If Sushant and Kriti give their final nod to star in the remake, it will be their second outing. The duo was last seen in Dinesh Vijan's directorial debut Raabta which failed to live up to expectations at the box office.

Some sources reveal that the project was initially offered to Tiger Shroff and Disha Patani whose latest film Baaghi 2 is doing phenomenal business at the cash counter. However, the duo turned down the offer due to their packed schedule.
