Special security measures to be taken during the U.S. schedule of Inshallah

Starring Salman Khan and Alia Bhatt in lead roles, Inshallah is a film which has been in news even before its official announcement. Since Inshallah marks the reunion of Salman Khan with filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali after a massive gap of two decades, the audience is waiting for the big-ticket offering in eager anticipation.

Bhansali, who last helmed the Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh starrer Padmaavat (2018), recently visited Florida to recce his locations for the U.S. schedule of the film. The director has finalized the locations and is now planning to shoot the movie on the beaches of Miami and in Orlando.

Both locations attract a huge number of people and hence, special security measures are being taken to ensure that when the filmmaker reaches there to shoot with his cast, shooting goes smoothly. Though it is going to be a tough task because both Alia Bhatt and Salman Khan are huge stars and have a fan following all across the world, the team will try to keep things in control as much as possible.

Talking about the same, a source close to the development reveals to an Indian daily, “Alia and Salman are huge stars. They are recognisable around the world and Miami has a huge Indian diaspora as well. So it is important to have a proper security arrangement for them to shoot in Miami. Even when Hollywood films are shot here in Miami, there is huge security. Bhansali’s team wanted the security to match with Hollywood standards.”

Apart from Miami and Orlando, some portions of the film will also be shot at various locations in Varanasi and Uttarakhand. Inshallah is set to begin production at the end of August. Produced by Sanjay Leela Bhansali Productions in association with Viacom18 Motion Pictures, the much-awaited movie is scheduled for its theatrical release on Eid, 2020.

You arrive in Kochi, and it feels like the sea air makes everything slightly sharper; faces in the city look purposeful, a film poster peels at the corner of a wall. In a city that has cradled a thriving film industry for decades, a single crime on the night of 17 February 2017 ruptured the ordinary: an abduction, a recorded sexual assault and a survivor who reported it the next day. What happened next is every woman’s unspoken nightmare, weaponised into brutal reality. It was a public unpeeling of an industry’s power structures, a slow-motion fight over evidence and testimony, and a national debate about how institutions protect (or fail) women.

For over eight years, her fight for justice became a mirror held up to an entire industry and a society. It was a journey from the dark confines of that car to the glaring lights of a courtroom, from being a silenced victim to becoming a defiant survivor whose voice sparked a revolution. This is not just the story of a crime. It is the story of what happens when one woman says, "Enough," and the tremors that follow.
