New age Bollywood actor Sidharth Malhotra is much in demand, irrespective of the box office performance of his previous films. The actor, who was last seen in A Gentleman opposite Jacqueline Fernandez, has reportedly signed a new film.
According to reports, the Brothers actor has given his nod to star in a biopic on Kargil martyr, Captain Vikram Batra. If the news is really true, it will be the first biopic for the actor since he debuted in films in 2012 with the Karan Johar directorial Student Of The Year. However, Sidharth is also doing another patriotic film Aiyaary based on real incidents.
A source reveals, "Sidharth has been offered biopics before, but he was keen on doing an inspirational story, and what better than one on Captain Vikram Batra’s life! Aiyaary is based on real incidents, but this will be a proper biography on screen, Sid’s first."
The source also adds that while the actor has liked another film, which was to be directed by Raj Kumar Gupta, it is highly likely that he will work on the biopic, right after wrapping up Neeraj Pandey's Aiyaary.
Other casting details are yet not out.
