Shahid Kapoor busy reading film and webseries scripts

Shahid Kapoor is presently basking in the stupendous success of his recent film Kabir Singh (2019). The movie, which was an official remake of Telugu hit Arjun Reddy (2017), has turned out to be the biggest blockbuster of the year. It has also emerged as the biggest hit of Shahid Kapoor in his 16-year-long career.

After the humongous success of Kabir Singh, Kapoor has become one of the most sought-after leading actors in Bollywood and, if reports are to be believed, he has even raised his remuneration for future projects.

The actor has been offered a number of films after the release of the subsequent success of Kabir Singh. However, he is yet to sign his next. According to a source, Kapoor is currently busy spending quality time with his family. He is also reading scripts for films and webseries.

“Shahid is taking it easy and spending quality time with his family. He is figuring out his next step because he does not want to make any incorrect decisions that will hamper his image after the success of Kabir Singh,” reveals the source.

The source further adds that the Haider (2014) actor has been reading a few scripts and has liked a few web projects too.

If reports are to be believed, Karan Johar had offered Shahid Kapoor the official remake of Telugu hit Jersey (2019). However, the actor demanded a whopping amount of ₹ 40 crore to headline the film and hence the deal fell through.

Well, it will be quite interesting to see what Shahid Kapoor picks up after Kabir Singh. It is not going to be an easy process for the actor.
