Sanjay Dutt starrer Torbaaz faces another delay

Superstar Sanjay Dutt, who made his comeback with Omung Kumar’s revenge drama Bhoomi (2017), has a number of exciting projects in his pocket. While the actor is busy shooting for many of his upcoming movies at the moment, there is one film which is facing delay again and again. We are talking about Torbaaz.

The film was completed in mid-2018 except for some patchwork. It was expected to roll into theatres by the year-end. However, it was postponed yet again and now the makers are looking at releasing it in March, 2019. Before its March release, a 10-day long schedule is in the pipeline to wrap up the patchwork.

A source close to the development reveals, “Probably, the patchwork will begin by the beginning of next year as the makers plan to release the film sometime in March, I guess. We have a ten days patchwork to be completed.”

Torbaaz stars Dutt in the role of an army officer. The movie also stars Nargis Fakhri, Rahul Dev and Rahul Mittra in key roles. It is helmed by director Girish Malik and produced by filmmaker Rahul Mittra.

Meanwhile, Sanjay Dutt is presently busy wrapping up Dharma Productions’ multi-starrer Kalank. Also starring Madhuri Dixit, Alia Bhatt, Sonakshi Sinha, Varun Dhawan and Aditya Roy Kapur, the period drama is directed by Abhishek Verman.

Apart from Kalank, the actor will also be seen in Mahesh Bhatt’s Sadak 2, co-starring Pooja Bhatt, Alia Bhatt and Aditya Roy Kapur. He may also return to play his iconic character of Munna Bhai in the next instalment of the franchise.
