Sanjay Dutt signs his second South Indian film?

After working in Bollywood for more than three decades, superstar Sanjay Dutt decided to explore other moviemaking industries in India and gave his nod to star in the second instalment of the immensely successful Kannada film KGF (2018). Titled KGF: Chapter 2, the movie features Kannada star Yash in the lead role, while Dutt plays the lead antagonist in it. Besides Yash and Sanjay Dutt, Bollywood diva Raveena Tandon is also attached to the cast for a pivotal part.

While KGF: Chapter 2 is still being shot, Sanjay Dutt has reportedly taken a liking to yet another South Indian film. Yes, rumours are rife that the Munna Bhai MBBS (2003) actor could be signing his second South Indian film after KGF: Chapter 2 which is poised for its theatrical release in April 2020. It has been said Dutt may be collaborating with Balakrishna for his next project titled Boyapati Srinu.

According to reports doing the rounds, Dutt will be playing the role of an antagonist in the film. The makers are, however, yet to confirm the development. If all goes well, Boyapati Srinu will be formally launched towards the end of November and hit the shooting floors by December.

Sanjay Dutt, who was last seen in his home production Prassthanam, will next be seen in celebrated Bollywood filmmaker Ashutosh Gowariker’s upcoming historical war drama Panipat. Also starring Arjun Kapoor, Kriti Sanon and Mohnish Bahl in important roles, the movie is scheduled to release on 6th December, 2019. After the release of Panipat, Dutt will be seen in Bhuj: The Pride Of India and Sadak 2. Both films are scheduled to release next year in 2020.
