Salman Khan to kick-off the final schedule of Bharat in November

After wrapping up shoots in Malta and Abu Dhabi, megastar Salman Khan will kick-off the final schedule of his forthcoming film Bharat in November, after the festivities of Diwali.

The final schedule of the movie will be shot in Punjab during which some crucial partition sequences will be filmed. Salman will be joined by his co-star Katrina Kaif and actor Jackie Shroff during the last schedule. Shroff plays Khan’s father in the much-awaited flick.

Reportedly, work on the massive sets has already begun in Punjab. The team will be heading off to the state after celebrating Diwali. But before that, they will finish a brief schedule in Mumbai, which is scheduled for this weekend.

Director Ali Abbas Zafar confirms the news, saying, “Yes, the most important schedule of Bharat will begin next month. We will have lengthy sequences set against the backdrop of the Partition and refugee camps from those traumatic times will be recreated in Punjab. We will also be shooting in Delhi inside many historical buildings. This part of the shoot unravels between the 1960s and the 90s period before the film moves into more contemporary times.”

Besides Salman Khan, Katrina Kaif and Jackie Shroff, Bharat also stars Tabu, Disha Patani and Sunil Grover among others.

The film is scheduled to roll into cinemas on Eid, 2019.
