Sahil Vaid: It was never difficult to work with Varun Dhawan

Murtuza Iqbal

Sahil Vaid will next be seen in Coolie No. 1 which stars Varun Dhawan in the lead role. Sahil and Varun have earlier worked together in films like Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania and Badrinath Ki Dulhania, and Coolie No. 1 is their third film together.

We recently interacted with Sahil and asked him if working with Varun is now easy for him as they have worked together earlier in two films, to which the actor said, “It was never difficult to work with him. It was always very smooth and cordial working with him. And the whole bond that you are talking about started on day one of the first film (Humpty), it has only grown over the years. We became more professional and we became more aware of what we were doing. In Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania, obviously, we were amateur as compared to today. But what we share from day one that bond has only grown stronger.”

While he worked with Varun for the third time, he has collaborated with David Dhawan for the first time. So, when asked about his experience of working with the senior Dhawan, the actor said, “It was a beautiful experience. After working with David sir I understand why Varun is the way he is. If you have an institution and a veteran like David Dhawan as your father, you are bound to be energetic. So, I got to experience that in this movie. Not just the second Dhawan, Rohit Dhawan was constantly on the set as well, and all three Dhawans were very cordial and very nice to work with. Superb people!"

Coolie No. 1 will start streaming on Amazon Prime Video on 25th December 2020.
