Rubina Dilaik on Women's Day: Please respect and empower the woman in your family

Rubina Dilaik has carved a niche in the television industry. Her role as an eunuch in the show Shakti- Astitva Ke Ehsaas Ki has received lots of adulation for her brilliant performance.

As the world celebrates Women’s Day today, she was asked by a leading Indian entertainment portal to share her views on the same, she said, "All I want to say is this message is especially for the men,  please respect and empower the woman in your family, in your friend circle, around you because a woman is the backbone of the family. She is the centripetal driving force and if you educate her, if you empower her, if you support her, you will see your family growing and evolving and henceforth the society and our nation at a large. "

Rubina is currently in a relationship with the actor Abhinav Shukla. Talking about the same to a leading Indian daily, she said that she never allows boredom to sneak into their relationship. Rubina said, "From dressing up for even casual dates to planning surprises often and staying in good shape – I treat myself like I used to when we started dating. I still have same enthusiasm and passion for Abhinav like I did when we started dating. The mantra is to treat every day in your relationship like it’s the first day, and it will prosper. A relationship can’t be an autopilot, it needs constant attention. Think of a relationship as a plant: you need to nurture it, water it and take care of it every day for it to grow into a tree. Every relationship requires effort, and if you don’t put in the effort, it will stagnate."
