Rani Mukerji starrer Mardaani 2 to hit theatres in November

After the thunderous success of her last release Hichki (2018), Rani Mukerji is now gearing up to start work on her next film Mardaani 2.

As the title suggests itself, the movie is a sequel to the actress’ 2014 hit film Mardaani, which was helmed by renowned filmmaker Pradeep Sarkar. Rani returns to reprise the role of tough cop Shivani Shivaji Rao in the sequel.

According to reports, the movie is expected to start rolling in the next few days in Mumbai and if all goes well, the makers will be releasing it in theatres in the last week of November this year.

“The film will be shot in a span of two months. The post-production work will take a little bit of time. But the team is hopeful that the movie will release in the last week of November,” a well-placed source reveals.

An official announcement from Yash Raj Films is awaited.

Mardaani 2 is being produced by Rani Mukerji’s husband Aditya Chopra. Gopi Puthran is directing the much-awaited project.
