Pooja Gor signed up to star in a cop-series

Popular television actress Pooja Gor, who became a household name after headlining Star Plus’ Mann Kee Awaaz Pratigya and then Ek Nayi Ummeed – Roshni on Life OK, is set to return to the small screen with a fiction show. She has been signed up to star in an untitled series which will go on-air on Sony Entertainment Television.

Though nothing much is known about the show at the moment, some reports suggest that it is basically a cop-series which will have a terrorism backdrop. Pooja Gor will be seen in the role of a cop on the show. Besides Gor, the yet-to-be-titled series also features Imran Javed, Yudhishter Singh and Rashmi Mahajan in important roles.

Talking about her next show, Pooja Gor tells a popular entertainment portal, “Those who follow my career will know that I have always attempted to push the envelope. No wonder I played a doctor in the above Life OK show.”

She goes on to add, “We are shooting for the new Sony show right now. It is a different experience playing a cop. We had to get their body language and mannerisms right. The creative made us meet special operation guys to understand how they work. We had to learn how to fire guns, and the hierarchy and power structure of the ATS. My respect for law enforcement agencies has gone up manifold, having understood how difficult their job is.”

Pooja Gor was last seen in Abhishek Kapoor’s successful film Kedarnath (2018). The movie also starred Sushant Singh Rajput and Sara Ali Khan. Besides Sara Ali Khan, Kedarnath also marked Gor’s silver screen debut.
