On Saif Ali Khan’s birthday, here’s a glimpse of Laal Kaptaan that leaves us astonished

Saif Ali Khan is currently busy garnering the praises that he is getting for his performance in Sacred Games season two. The show was released yesterday on Netflix and people have been binge-watching it. Today, Saif Ali Khan is celebrating his 49th birthday and the makers of his next film Laal Kaptaan has given a surprise to his fans.

A glimpse of the film has been shared on Saif’s birthday and it leaves us astonished. The producers of the film, tweeted, “Har Ram Ka Apna Raavan, Har Ram Ka Apna Dussehra. Presenting #SaifAliKhan in and as Laal Kaptaan. Directed by @nopisingh, the hunt will begin on 11th October 2019. #ErosNow @aanandlrai @zyhssn @deepakdobriyal #ManavVij @cypplOfficial @ErosIntlPlc #HappyBirthdaySaifAliKhan.”


Saif Ali Khan plays the role of a Naga Sadhu in the film and this small glimpse is surely something that makes us eager to watch the movie. Laal Kaptaan is a revenge-drama and it was slated to release on 6th September 2019 but it has been postponed to 11th October 2019.

The movie is directed by Navdeep Singh who had directed Anushka Sharma starrer NH10. The film is produced by Aanand L Rai’s Colour Yellow Productions and Eros International.

A few months ago, Saif Ali Khan’s look from the film was leaked and people compared it, Jack Sparrow. While talking to a tabloid about it, Saif had earlier stated, "My nephew Kiaan [Karisma Kapoor's son] and son [Ibrahim] saw the photographs before they had leaked, and said, 'Hey, that's Jack Sparrow.' The resemblance was because of the jacket and dreadlocks. While filming, I never thought about it. If I did, I wouldn't have done it. But, everything will make sense when you see the film."

Apart from Laal Kaptaan, Saif Ali Khan will be seen on the big screen in Jawaani Jaaneman this year which is slated to release on 29th November 2019. The movie also stars Tabu and Alaia Furniturewala. He also has Taanaji: The Unsung Warrior in his kitty which will hit the screens on 10th January 2020.
