Multi-starrer Malang goes on floors

After helming the Arjun Kapoor and Shraddha Kapoor starrer Half Girlfriend in 2017, hit filmmaker Mohit Suri returns to call the shots once again for his next multi-starrer directorial venture titled Malang.

Boasting of an impressive cast which includes the likes of Aditya Roy Kapur, Disha Patani, Anil Kapoor and Kunal Kemmu in lead roles, the much-awaited movie began production earlier today with a pooja.

Though the makers have not revealed much about the storyline of the film, insiders say it is a dark action thriller. A major part of Malang will be shot in Mauritius. The decision to shoot the film on a foreign locale has been taken to avoid overcrowding on the home turf.

Before beginning the shoot, Mohit Suri and Aditya Roy Kapur attended the pooja. Kapur also shared an image on his Instagram, captioning, “On a new journey with the man that changed it all for me.”

If you remember it was Mohit Suri’s 2013 blockbuster Aashiqui 2 which shot Aditya Roy Kapur to overnight stardom. The film still attracts huge viewership on television premieres, thanks to its intense love story and fantastic music score.

Malang is being bankrolled by Luv Films and T-Series. The film is set to roll into cinemas on 14th February, 2020.
