Makers roll out the first look poster of Genius

The makers of Genius have revealed the first look poster of their forthcoming film. Directed by acclaimed Bollywood filmmaker, Anil Sharma, who is known for helming a series of patriotic films such as Gadar: Ek Prem Katha and The Hero, the movie hit the shooting floor last year.

With Genius, young actor Utkarsh Sharma, who is the son of director Anil Sharma, enters the glitzy world of entertainment in a lead role. He made his acting debut as a child artist with Gadar Ek Prem Katha, wherein he played Sunny Deol and Ameesha Patel’s son, Jeet.

The first poster of Genius shows the actor gazing at something intently. Wearing gloves in hands and a Bluetooth in ear, he looks ready to unravel a mystery. Though nothing much is known about the subject of the film, some insider claim that it revolves around a youngster with an unquenchable interest in science.

Utkarsh has been paired opposite debutante Ishita in the film. In addition to two lead actors, Genius also features massively talented Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Ayesha Julka and Mithun Chakraborty in essential roles.

The film is ready for its theatrical release on 24th March 2018.

Union claims ‘brazen retaliation’

Rockstar Games is facing allegations of union busting after reportedly dismissing dozens of staff believed to have been involved in a private workplace-organising chat. According to a Bloomberg report, between 30 and 40 employees across the UK and Canada were let go on 30 October, all linked to a Discord group used to discuss union issues.

The Independent Workers of Great Britain (IWGB) union said some of those affected were members, while others were attempting to organise. In a post on Bluesky, IWGB called the move “the most ruthless act of union busting in the history of the UK games industry”, saying it would fight for the workers to be reinstated.
