Kriti Sanon on Mimi: It’s the most beautiful script I have come across

Kriti Sanon will next be seen in Dinesh Vijan’s production venture Mimi. The movie is a remake of Marathi film Mala Aai Vahhaychy and recently, while talking about the film, the actress told a tabloid that it is the most beautiful script she has come across.

While talking about her character, Kriti stated, “I play a young girl who aspires to become a Bollywood actress. Yes, Mimi has dreams of her own and there is a reason why she agrees to become a surrogate. It’s the most beautiful script I have come across and Mimi was one of those films which I agreed to be a part of in the first narration itself.”

“I had my own take on the emotions required to bring out her dilemma, and discussions with Laxman sir (director Laxman Utekar) really helped. It was interesting to discover feelings as an actress that I had never experienced in real life,” she added.

Mimi is slated to release in July this year, but as films are getting postponed due to lockdown, we wonder if the Kriti Sanon starrer will release as per the schedule. There were also reports that the makers of the film are planning to release it on an OTT platform. However, there’s no confirmation about the same.

Kriti was also supposed to start the shooting of one more film under Vijan’s production. Also starring Rajkummar Rao, Dimple Kapadia, and Paresh Rawal, the untitled film was supposed to start rolling in April this year. Talking about the film, Kriti stated, “It’s a quirky film about a couple in the process of adopting parents. It will be a great watch as it’s an entertaining story.”

Apart from Mimi and the untitled film with Rao, the actress also has Bachchan Pandey in her kitty in which she will be seen opposite Akshay Kumar.
