Kiara Advani to reunite with Vicky Kaushal?

Bollywood actress Kiara Advani has become the latest toast of the town. After delivering two ₹ 200 crore grossers – Kabir Singh and Good Newwz – in 2019, she has shot to the top league. The actress has a number of exciting projects lined up for release in 2020, and they seem strong enough to cement her position further in the industry.

It is now being reported that the talented actress may come onboard to play the female lead in filmmaker Meghna Gulzar’s next directorial venture. The film, as we all know, is based on the life of great Indian war hero Sam Manekshaw. Vicky Kaushal is playing the titular role in the upcoming movie.


A leading publication reports that Advani is currently in talks with producer Ronnie Screwvala who is co-producing the film. If things fall into place, she will be the leading lady of the forthcoming film. The movie will also reunite her with actor Vicky Kaushal after Netflix’s omnibus movie Lust Stories (2018). The two actors featured in one of the segments of the film.

Meanwhile, Kiara Advani is looking forward to the release of her first film of 2020, Laxmmi Bomb. The horror-comedy is an official remake of superhit Tamil film Kanchana. Directed by Raghava Lawrence, it features Akshay Kumar as the male lead. The film is set to enter theatres on 22nd May, 2020.

Laxmmi Bomb will be followed by a coming-of-age film titled Indoo Ki Jawani, which is being directed by Abir Sengupta and produced by Bhushan Kumar and Nikkhil Advani. The actress plays a small-town girl in the film. It releases on 5th June, 2020.

Kiara Advani will also be seen in Dharma Productions’ much-awaited film Shershaah with Sidharth Malhotra and T-Series Films’ Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 with Kartik Aaryan. She also headlines the Netflix film Guilty, to be produced by Karan Johar under the banner of Dharmatic Entertainment.

Sydney Sweeney says she is committed to choosing films that will "impact and hopefully save people's lives" as she promotes her latest psychological thriller The Housemaid.

The 28-year-old American actor, who has appeared in two films this year addressing domestic violence, The Housemaid and boxing biopic Christy told the BBC she takes "a lot of care" when portraying such sensitive roles.
