Kiara Advani starrer Indoo Ki Jawani starts rolling in Lucknow

Kiara Advani has proved her mettle as an actor with her performances in Lust Stories and Kabir Singh. The actress has some interesting projects in her kitty and one of them is Indoo Ki Jawani. The shooting of the film started recently in Lucknow.

While talking about the movie, Kiara Advani said, "I am super excited to begin shooting for Indoo, I’ve been prepping for the character ever since I signed the film and it’s finally time to live her! Indoo is a part of every young Indian girl she’s endearing, lovable and quirky. Looking forward to work with the teams at Emmay, T-Series and Electric Apples as we all strive to put our best foot forward to deliver a cracking entertainer"


This will be T-Series and Emmay Entertainment’s sixth collaboration. They earlier produced together successful films like Airlift, Satyameva Jayate, and Batla House. They are also collaborating for Marjaavaan (releases 15th November 2019) and Satyameva Jayate 2 (releases 2nd Oct 2020).

Speaking about Indoo Ki Jawani, head-honcho of T-Series, Bhushan Kumar said “It is always a pleasure to back good entertaining cinema specially the ones that bring smiles to audiences of all ages. We are delighted to be backing a film like Indoo Ki Jawani”.

Nikkhil Advani, of Emmay, added, “We are very excited to produce this youthful film that has such wonderful alchemy of actors. Having seen the rehearsals and prep, we are confident this film will win hearts.”

Indoo Ki Jawani is a rom-com in which Kiara’s character Indoo tries to find true love by using online dating apps. The movie also stars Aditya Seal in the lead role. Directed by Abir Sengupta, Indoo Ki Jawani is slated to release on 5th June 2020. Earlier, Kiara’s Laxmmi Bomb was slated to release on 5th June 2020. But it has been shifted to Eid 2020. This means that Kiara will have two releases in a gap of 15 days.

Heavy rain kills more than 100 in India and Nepal
