John Abraham on life post lockdown

Bollywood star John Abraham is all praise for the frontline workers who have been risking their lives to save those infected with COVID-19. The actor feels that the tough time has brought everyone together.

“The police, army, medical professionals and all of them, these are your Covid warriors, like they call them, who are actually risking their lives, especially the medics, ward-boys. They all are the real-life superheroes. Situations bring out unlikely heroes, and this pandemic has brought up probably the likeliest ones, that is the people in the medical profession,” Abraham tells a publication.

John Abraham’s poem Mera Bharat Mahaan, which is dedicated to all those professionals who have put their lives on stake to saves ours, has amassed great love on social media, with its views shooting up to more than a million in no time.

Giving credit to director Milap Zaveri, John says, “The credit goes to Milap, he penned and WhatsApped it to me. I said, ‘this is beautiful’. He just wanted me to recite it. It took me a couple of minutes, as it spreads the message of positivity in today’s world, which is full of negativity and hatred. I think it is good to have something that is positive and not controversial, still Indian at heart, which people will relate to. It will probably foster unity somewhere.”

John Abraham, who was last seen in Anees Azmee’s madcap comic-caper Pagalpanti (2019), is currently looking forward to the release of his next film Mumbai Saga. Helmed by Sanjay Gupta, the film is a gangster drama, also featuring Emraan Hashmi, Kajal Agarwal, Jackie Shroff and Suniel Shetty in important roles. Abraham also has Attack and Satyamev Jayate 2 on his platter.

  • Legal letters were exchanged, though no formal action was taken
  • The request followed what Brooklyn viewed as damaging briefings about his wife, Nicola Peltz Beckham
  • Both sides are said to be hoping for reconciliation, despite ongoing hurt

A breakdown that moved beyond private disagreement

Relations within the Beckham family deteriorated sharply last summer, reaching a point where Brooklyn Beckham asked his parents to communicate with him only through legal representatives. The request marked one of the most serious moments in an already strained relationship between the eldest Beckham son and his parents.

Sources say the instruction led to an exchange of letters between legal teams at Schillings, representing Brooklyn, and Harbottle & Lewis, who act for David and Victoria Beckham. While no legal proceedings were initiated, the correspondence made clear that Brooklyn did not want direct contact or public references to him from his parents, including on social media.
