HUNDREDS of residents displaced by the Grenfell Tower fire that killed about 80 people in in June are still living in hotels or friends’ houses because of a failure by local authorities to rehouse them, the Labour MP representing the London borough said on Monday (13). The 24-storey social housing block in the wealthy borough of Kensington and Chelsea was destroyed on June 14 in a blaze that left hundreds bereaved and homeless.
