TV STAR Drashti Dhami has regularly delivered winning turns on a variety of projects, which have delighted audiences around the world and won her adoring fans. One fan club on Twitter dedicated to the actress is run by Patricia from Luxembourg, Ansah from Hong Kong, Priya from India, and Salma from UK. Eastern Eye caught up with them to find out more...

What made you set up the fan club?


It was created in 2011 and set up as there was not a dedicated fan club for Drashti updating regularly about her then. However now there are many fan clubs in Drashti’s name. This one was set up in dedication for the stunning actress and her fans.

Tell us about your fan club?

At Drashti Dhami Web, we try to post as much as we can in relation to Drashti Dhami; this can be about her daily shows, special appearances, photo shoots and much more.

What has been your memorable moment so far?

Our memorable moment has been the love and appreciation we receive from the fans.

What is the best thing you like about Drashti Dhami? 

The best thing we like about Drashti is that she is humble and down-toearth. When she meets her fans, she treats them like family. Also we like Drashti as she does not get involved in unnecessary controversies.

What is your favourite work Drashti has done?

We have been fans of Drashti since the first time we saw her on TV. This was her Saiyaan Dil Mein Aana Re music video. Since then we have followed her enacting the roles of Muskaan, Geet, Madhubala, Gayatri and Naina. Drashti has done each of these roles to perfection. We also loved her in Jhalak Dikhlajaa 7 and are super-proud she won the title!

Tell us an interesting fact about Drashti...

She has a really sweet, humble and down-to-earth nature. She is also a fashionista without even trying to be one!

What is your definition of a true fan? 

A true fan is someone who supports their favourite celebrity in their projects and also does not hinder in voicing their views on a certain aspect to the celebrities professional work.

Rourke distances himself from the online fundraiser

Mickey Rourke has denied any involvement in a crowdfunding appeal that raised close to £80,000 and has asked supporters to reclaim their donations. The Oscar-nominated actor addressed the issue in a video shared on Instagram, saying he was frustrated and confused by the situation.

The GoFundMe page, titled Help Mickey Rourke Stay in His Home, appeared over the weekend and claimed the actor was facing an urgent threat of eviction.
