Ekta Kapoor is working on a TV version of Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham

No one knows how to keep the small-screen audience happy better than Indian television queen Ekta Kapoor. After announcing Naagin 3, Yeh Hai Mohabbatein spin-off and Kasautii Zindagii Kay 2, the leading producer is now working on a TV version of Karan Johar’s multi-starrer blockbuster Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham, as per reports.

Starring Amitabh Bachchan, Jaya Bachchan, Shah Rukh Khan, Kajol, Hrithik Roshan and Kareena Kapoor Khan in lead roles, K3G takes pride in being one of the most loved films of the last decade, which has gained a cult following thanks to its regular television repeats.


According to reports, Ekta is in talks with Sony Entertainment Television to launch the show on a prime-time slot.

Watching a TV version of Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham on the small-screen is surely going to be an exciting experience for the viewers. Now we hope that Ekta announces the project officially soon, along with sharing some details on the star cast of the show.

The theatre was packed for the Third Shanghai–London Screen Industry Forum. Between panels and workshops, filmmakers, producers and executives discussed ideas and business cards and it felt more than just a summit. British-Asian filmmakers were meeting and greeting the Chinese industry in an attempt to explore genuine possibilities of working in China’s film market.
