Ekta confirms the new season of her iconic show Kasautii Zindagii Kay

There have been a lot of speculations of late that TV czarina Ekta Kapoor is planning the second season of her iconic Hindi soap, Kasautii Zindagii Kay. Today, the celebrated producer herself confirmed the news on her Twitter handle, sending a wave of excitement among fans of the series.

Ekta took to her Twitter handle and wrote, "With a piece of my broken heart I wrote in 2001, 17 years later I Reboot it dipping in personal pain & lacing it with experiences of an older me! Bringing back my most successful love saga that ran for 9 yrs! Again I’ll take my broken heart & make it into art! #NamesToBeAnnounced".


The original series, which hit the airwaves in 2001 on Star Plus, ran for nine long years. It made its protagonists, Shweta Tiwari and Cezzane Khan, household names across the country. Actress Urvashi Dholakia, who played the lead antagonist in the show, too achieved unrivalled fame with her role.

After the official announcement of the show, now all eyes are on the new star cast that will have the huge responsibility of taking such a popular show forward.
