Deepika Padukone & Vin Diesel to reunite for Xander Cage 4?

Deepika Padukone is one of the most influential celebrities in the world. She does not only have a huge fanbase in India, but in several parts across the globe also. After establishing herself as one of the leading actresses of Hindi cinema, Padukone went to Hollywood and made her debut there with the 2017 action entertainer xXx: Return of Xander Cage opposite Vin Diesel.

Though the movie did not leave the cash registers jingling at the box-office, the audience did appreciate Deepika Padukone’s performance as Serena Unger. Now, two years after the release of xXx: Return of Xander Cage, Vin Diesel has shared a post, hinting that the next instalment of the xXx franchise is in the works. And not just that, Deepika Padukone could also join the cast in the upcoming instalment. Yes, you read it right!

On Instagram, Vin Diesel shared a picture of himself clothed in a huge fur coat. He captioned it, "Appreciate the creativity. How ironic that I had a Xander Cage meeting. Each Franchise has their respective beautiful Family. Blessed."

That was not all. The superstar also hashtagged the names of the actor who are going to be part of the upcoming instalment of xXx: Return of Xander Cage. And the names included Ruby Rose, Nina Dobrev and Deepika Padukone

If it does turn out to be true, Xander Cage 4 will mark Deepika Padukone’s second outing in Hollywood. Meanwhile, the actress is busy promoting her upcoming Hindi film Chhapaak. Apart from playing the female lead, the actress has also co-produced the film in association with Fox Star Studios. To be directed by Meghna Gulzar, Chhapaak also stars Vikrant Massey in the lead role. The film is scheduled to arrive in cinemas on 10th January, 2020.

The theatre was packed for the Third Shanghai–London Screen Industry Forum. Between panels and workshops, filmmakers, producers and executives discussed ideas and business cards and it felt more than just a summit. British-Asian filmmakers were meeting and greeting the Chinese industry in an attempt to explore genuine possibilities of working in China’s film market.
