The accountability court in Islamabad, hearing Nawaz Sharif’s corruption case, was adjourned on Tuesday after the former Pakistan prime minister requested the investigator to suspend proceedings until the IHC takes a decision on clubbing the references against him. Earlier today, Sharif was directly escorted by the heavy protocol to the court from the Islamabad Airport. The IHC had, on November 23, reserved its verdict on a petition by Sharif to club the references against him. According to the Dawn, the request filed by the former prime minister today sought suspension of the accountability court’s proceedings till the decision is announced.…
