Confirmed: Urvashi Dholakia to participate in Nach Baliye 9

Popular television actress Urvashi Dholakia, who became a household name after playing the evil character of Komolika on Ekta Kapoor’s original Kasautii Zindagii Kay, has confirmed her participation in the forthcoming season of popular celebrity dance reality show, Nach Baliye. Superstar Salman Khan is bankrolling Nach Baliye 9 under his production house.

Dholakia, who has been missing from the scene for a while now, is returning to the small screen with a bang. It will be really interesting to see her sizzle the screen with her electric dance performances. We also hear that the talented actress will be joined by her ex-boyfriend, Anuj Sachdeva, on the show. However, the news is yet to be confirmed.

“The show’s creative team is still in talks to figure out who would be the best match for me. It will be interesting. As far as chemistry goes, we will just have to wait and see how everything else works out,” Urvashi Dholakia tells a tabloid.

When asked about what persuaded her to take up the show, she adds, “I took it up as I have always loved dancing and through this platform, I could learn so much more. For me, it’s like acting. I have always wanted to be on TV and not watch it from the outside, the same goes for dance! I recently shot a promo in a grand setup.”

Urvashi Dholakia has once trained in dance. Her training might help her a lot on the stage of Nach Baliye 9. “That was many years ago, but it comes naturally to me. As far as prep for the show goes, we begin workshops shortly,” she says.

According to reports, Star Plus is planning to air Nach Baliye 9 in the month of July. More details are expected to arrive soon.

When endorsement is assumed, not agreed

The unauthorised use of Alia Bhatt’s altered images by a Pakistani brand has reignited a familiar concern in digital advertising. Campaigns that visually mimic endorsements can easily blur the line between association and approval.

For audiences, such edits can appear credible at first glance. When a well-known face is integrated into promotional material, the assumption of endorsement often follows. Without clear consent, that assumption risks misleading consumers while benefiting from the celebrity’s influence.
