Bhoot: The Haunted Ship trailer: Not much scary, but intriguing

Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions is venturing into the horror genre with the film Bhoot: The Haunted Ship and the makers have been promising that the movie will be different from the other horror movies in Bollywood. The trailer of the film has been released, but it fails to scare us.

Karan Johar took to Twitter to share the trailer. He posted, “Anchoring fear on your shores. #BhootTrailer OUT NOW! https://bit.ly/BhootTrailer #Bhoot #TheHauntedShip @apoorvamehta18 @vickykaushal09 @bhumipednekar @Bps_91 @ShashankKhaitan @NotSoSnob @DharmaMovies @ZeeStudios_ @ZeeMusicCompany.”

When we watch a trailer of a horror film, we expect that it will scare us but that doesn’t happen with the trailer of Bhoot: The Haunted Ship. However, we are not saying that the trailer is bad. It’s a good trailer and has elements that make us eager to watch the film. The trailer is more intriguing than scary.

Vicky Kaushal was last seen on the big screen in 2019 release Uri: The Surgical Strike. The movie went on to become a blockbuster at the box office and made Vicky a star overnight. After more than a year we will get to see him on the big screen in Bhoot: The Haunted Ship and we can say that the actor is all set to give a fantastic performance in the film. The movie also stars Bhumi Pednekar, but in the trailer, she hasn’t been given much scope. It is said that she just has a cameo in the movie.

While the trailer has failed to scare us, let’s hope that the movie turns out to be good.

Directed by Bhanu Pratap Singh, Bhoot: The Haunted Ship is slated to release on 21st February 2020. It will be clashing with Ayushmann Khurrana starrer Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan.

Graham Norton's legal victory against Meta is attracting attention beyond the entertainment world. The broadcaster successfully obtained a court order in California requiring the social media giant to disclose information that could identify the operator of an anonymous Facebook page accused of spreading false claims and deepfake content about him.

According to court filings, the account published fabricated stories about Norton's health, his husband and even falsely claimed that his mother had died. While the case centres on a high-profile television personality, its wider significance lies in what it could mean for others facing similar online attacks.
