Arjun Bijlani slays it with his impeccable style on Dance Deewane

Actor Arjun Bijlani, who is considered to be one of the most charming and stylish actors in Indian television space, has been catching loads of eyeballs of late with his sharp and impeccable style on the sets of dance reality show, Dance Deewane.

Bijlani is hosting Dance Deewane on Colors. Apart from his great hosting skills, what has caught many people’s eye is his dressing sense. The actor looks dashing and suave in whatever he wears on the show.

“I am so glad that people like my look in the show. I wanted to go in for a formal look because I feel that goes well with the format of the show. But at the same time, the show has an element of fun in it, which is why I am opting for brighter colours,” says Arjun.

He adds, “I feel it’s very important to experiment with your look as well. We owe it to our fans. Sporting the same look over and over again can get boring for us as well as our fans.”

Meanwhile, the actor is enjoying hosting the show as well. “I love hosting as it gives you the chance to be yourself in front of the camera. Plus, everyone in the show is such nice people. It’s a pleasure to work with them,” he says.

Dance Deewane is judged by Madhuri Dixit, Shashank Khaitan and Tushar Kalia.

Highlights:

  • Government to criminalise porn that shows strangulation or suffocation during sex.
  • Part of wider plan to fight violence against women and online harm.
  • Tech firms will be forced to block such content or face heavy Ofcom fines.
  • Experts say the ban responds to medical evidence and years of campaigning.

You see it everywhere now. In mainstream pornography, a man’s hands around a woman’s neck. It has become so common that for many, especially the young, it just seems like part of sex, a normal step. The UK government has decided it should not be, and soon, it will be a crime.

The plan is to make possessing or distributing pornographic material that shows sexual strangulation, often called ‘choking’, illegal. This is a specific amendment to the Crime and Policing Bill. Ministers are acting on the back of a stark, independent review. That report found this kind of violence is not just available online, but it is rampant. It has quietly, steadily, become normalised.
