Ajay Devgn-fronted De De Pyaar De moves to 22nd February, 2019

Starring superstar Ajay Devgn in the lead role, the forthcoming Hindi film De De Pyaar De has shifted its release to a new date. Earlier scheduled to hit the silver screen on 19 October 2018, the film will now arrive on 22nd February, 2019.

Though the makers have not given any proper explanation behind moving the film to a new date, buzz in the trade has it that the decision has been taken to avoid the box-office clash with Vipul Amrutlal Shah’s Arjun Kapoor and Parineeti Chopra starrer Namaste England, which also debuts in cinemas on 19 October.

Interestingly, despite the shift, the Ajay Devgn starrer will not enjoy a solo release at the box-office as Kangana Ranaut and Rajkummar Rao’s much-talked-about film Mental Hai Kya? is poised to challenge it on 22nd February, next year.

Produced by Bhushan Kumar, Ankur Garg and Luv Ranjan, De De Pyaar De marks the directorial debut of renowned film editor Akiv Ali. Besides Ajay Devgn, the film also features seasoned actress Tabu and Rakul Preet Singh.

Apart from De De Pyaar De, Devgn is doing yet another film with Luv Ranjan. The yet-to-be-titled film also stars Ranbir Kapoor in the lead role. The movie is scheduled to enter in theatres on December 25, 2020.
