Aishwarya Rai Bachchan on her next with Mani Ratnam: It is definitely an experience I am looking forward to

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan was last seen on the big screen in 2018 release Fanney Khan. The actress had an extended cameo in the film and unfortunately, the movie failed to make a mark at the box office. Her fans have been eagerly waiting to see her back on the big screen and Aishwarya has signed Mani Ratnam’s next which is said to be a big multi-lingual film.

While this year we didn’t get to see her on the big screen, we will get to hear her voice in the Hindi dubbed version of the Hollywood film Maleficent Mistress Of Evil. Recently at the trailer launch event of the film when Aishwarya was asked about her movie with Mani Ratnam, she said, “I have always said that there’s a beauty in watching the movie when it is ready and discover what the story is and what journey we are going to take to the audiences through. We want to really keep the viewer engaged; if you say it all every time we meet it filter downs the magic of it. So, that’s why I never reveal the story. But it is definitely an experience I am looking forward to for multiple reasons.”

“Mani is my guru (teacher) and he is one of the most brilliant and amazing directors of our country. I have had the honour, privilege, and joy of working with him right at the beginning of my career, and several times through it. So, it’s an easy yes to work with that kind of cinematic brilliance and the character itself, when you will see it you will know why.”

When asked about her movie with Abhishek Bachchan titled Gulab Jamun, Aishwarya opted not to answer at the event and stated that she would answer it when there’s one on one interaction with the media.
