Aishwarya Rai Bachchan all set to make her social media debut

Bollywood actress Aishwarya Rai Bachchan is set to make her social media debut through photo-sharing app Instagram.

At a time when Bollywood stars constantly make use of their social media platforms to reach out to fans, 44-year-old Aishwarya has has steered clear of the digital space. She has now decided to join Instagram as per her fans' requests.


"Aishwarya Rai Bachchan has always been a private person and her presence on the social media platform is basically her way of thanking all her well wishers who have been giving her so much love through the start of her career; a way to directly connect with them," a press release from the actor's PR team stated.

Aishwarya will make use of her social media platform to keep her fans updated on her projects and her personal life.

Although Aishwarya has largely stayed away from social media till date, her husband Abhishek is active on social media and he often gives his fans a glimpse into their family life.

Aishwarya and Abhishek got married almost 11 years ago and the couple is still going strong.

Here's what Aishwarya once said about their relationship: “He is original and real, like our relationship. There is nothing predictable or boring about our life. We nurture each other. The gesture was spontaneous and meaningful. God has been kind to us."

The studio is launching two newcomers in Bollywood after what’s being called its largest-ever talent hunt, which spanned more than 500 auditions from across India. The aim, insiders say, is to find raw, authentic performers, not familiar surnames.
