Actors who impressed us with their performances in 2019

While we had some brilliant performances by our female stars in 2019, even our male stars were not behind. From doing the action to romancing on the big screen to giving out a social message, our Bollywood actors in 2019 played a variety of roles.

Today, let’s look at the list of actors who impressed us a lot with their performances in 2019…

Hrithik Roshan (Super 30 / War)

In 2018, we didn’t get to see Hrithik Roshan on the big screen, but thankfully he made it up for his fans by starring in two movies in 2019. Hrithik starred in Super 30 and War this year and both the films were super hit at the box office. The actor was simply outstanding in Super 30 and in War we got to see the quintessential Hrithik Roshan.

Shahid Kapoor (Kabir Singh)

Shahid Kapoor starrer Kabir Singh faced a lot of controversies as people felt that the film promoted toxic masculinity. Well, of course, it was a flawed character but we cannot ignore that Shahid played the role of Kabir Singh perfectly. He made us feel the pain and anger his character was going through.

Ranveer Singh (Gully Boy)

Ranveer Singh is a jovial person in real life and has played characters that suit his personality. But, in Gully Boy, he played a totally different character. He was so good in the movie as Murad that not even for a second we felt that we are watching Ranveer Singh.

Ayushmann Khurrana (Dream Girl / Article 15 / Bala)

In 2019, Ayushmann Khurrana had three releases, Dream Girl, Article 15 and Bala. All three films did very well at the box office and Ayushmann’s performance in all three of them was excellent. We especially loved him in Dream Girl as it wasn’t an easy character to portray.

Vicky Kaushal (Uri: The Surgical Strike)

Vicky Kaushal kickstarted the year 2019 with Uri: The Surgical Strike. The film went on to become a blockbuster at the box office and Vicky’s performance as an army officer was praised a lot.

Amitabh Bachchan (Badla)

Megastar Amitabh Bachchan completed 50 years in the industry this year. But even after 50 years, he surprises us when he comes on the big screen with a new film. This year, we saw him in Badla as the lawyer Badal Gupta and he was excellent in the movie.

Akshay Kumar (Kesari / Good Newwz)

Akshay Kumar had four releases this year, Kesari, Mission Mangal, Housefull 4 and Good Newwz. But it was his performances in Kesari and Good Newwz that impressed us a lot. The actor was excellent as Havaldar Ishar Singh in Kesari and made us laugh out loud with his antics in Good Newwz.

Akshaye Khanna (The Accidental Prime Minister / Section 375)

Akshaye Khanna is undoubtedly one of the most talented actors in Bollywood. This year, we saw him in two films, The Accidental Prime Minister and Section 375. In both movies, the actor was simply amazing and we so want to watch him more on the big screen.
