Here’s the main line-up of films at 69th Berlin film festival

The 69th Berlin International Film Festival is just round the corner and cinephiles the world over must be excited to know what Europe’s first major film festival of the year has to offer.

The much-awaited festival will begin on Thursday and will last for eleven days until February 17. During the course of these eleven days, 23 new films from around the world will screen in the main showcase.

Seventeen of the 23 films will try to clench the Golden and Silver Bear prizes at the event, with a jury led by French Oscar winner Juliette Binoche.

Twenty films in the main showcase will have their world premiere at the festival. Out of these twenty features, two mark debut of their directors, while seven films are helmed by women filmmakers.

The Berlinale Special section will showcase other notable films that will have gala screenings.
